Pascal Baltzer

Pascal A. T. Baltzer is Professor of Radiology at the Medical University of Vienna and Chair of Magnetic Resonance Radiology. He serves as Medical Director of the High-Field MR Research Center (HFMRC) and Head of Urogenital Radiology.

He is broadly active in clinical practice and brings decades of comprehensive hands-on experience in diagnostic and interventional radiology. He is a globally recognized expert in breast imaging and urogenital radiology.

Following his medical studies at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany, he completed his residency in diagnostic and interventional radiology at the same institution and obtained his habilitation in 2011.

Professor Baltzer has been actively involved in national and international professional societies for many years. He serves as Secretary General of the European Society of Breast Imaging (EUSOBI), Deputy Head of the Working Group on Urogenital Radiology of the Austrian Society of Radiology (OeRG), and is a long-standing board member of the Breast Imaging Working Group of the German Roentgen Society (DRG).

In addition, he is Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Radiology and the European Journal of Radiology – Artificial Intelligence.
