Daniel Pinto dos Santos completed his residency at the University Medical Center Mainz. Here Daniel did his first work on structured reporting in radiology under Prof. Peter Mildenberger. After a short research stay with Prof. Marti – Bonmatí in Valencia and his residency, he moved to the University Hospital of Cologne as a senior physician. In Cologne he continued his work on structured reporting, imaging biomarkers and artificial intelligence. Daniel received the Walter Friedrich Prize of the DRG for his postdoctoral thesis. Currently, Daniel Pinto dos Santos works as a senior physician in radiology at both the University Hospital of Cologne and the University Hospital of Frankfurt. Daniel was Chairman of the AGIT of the DRG and currently serves as Vice – President of the European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics (EuSoMII). He serves as Deputy Editor of European Radiology and Section Editor Radiomics of the European Journal of Radiology.
