Franz went to medical school at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen until 2016. 2016 – 2022 he did his residency at the Department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Lübeck Campus. Sind Q1 2023 Franz works as an attending physician at the same department. Scientific focus: magnetic particle imaging. Co-opted member of the board of the Working Group Methodology and Research of the German Radiological Society. Author and regular reviewer for numerous international journals.
