Workshop #2

How to Use Chief Complaints to Guide You to the Correct Diagnosis

Learning objectives

Without a thorough understanding of chief complaints, high-quality breast imaging is not possible. Therefore, our second workshop is designed as a symptom-based course, covering all chief complaints in breast imaging.

Starting from typical symptoms, we together will develop structured methods for an accurate and efficient pathway towards the correct diagnosis.
Here is our agenda:

  • Overview
    • We will begin with an introduction to the chief complaints in breast imaging, including palpable lumps, breast pain, mastodynia, and bloody discharge.
  • Case-Based Training
    • We will train on the pathway from chief complaints to radiological findings using carefully curated clinical cases.
  • Multimodal Approach
    • We will emphasize complementary diagnostics, exploring the benefits of ultrasound, mammography, and MRI in symptom-based breast imaging.
  • Interaction
    • Throughout the workshop, you will have ample opportunity to discuss your questions. We look forward to collegial exchange and learning from each other!
